With your 100% individualized program in hand, it's time to get to work and collect data.

Phase 3 - SUPPORT

Ongoing, weekly communication with your coach to ensure you stay on track.

PHASE 1 - ASSESS

When you first sign up for coaching, you enter the assessment phase of our coaching process.  The goal of this phase is simple:  build your athlete profile so we know exactly where you are now and the steps you must take to get where you want to go.

And we do that by following these 3 steps:

Step 1 - Choose your athlete archetype

Without a clear destination in mind, it’s impossible to help you get there. To help make this as easy as possible, we give you 4 athlete archetypes to choose from:

  • BASE:  great movement with strength, athleticism, and muscle sprinkled on top.
  • STACKED:  total package athlete that looks like Thor and performs like an NFL running back.
  • STRONG:  build as much muscle and strength as possible while maintaining some athleticism, endurance, and movement quality.
  • TACTICAL:  emphasis on moving events and odd objects with well-rounded strength, athleticism, and endurance. 

Once you choose your archetype, you are assigned a coach and meet him/her over a 30-minute zoom call.

Step 2 - Movement and biomechanics screen

You will be sent our in-depth movement and biomechanics screen so we know exactly what’s going on with that skeleton of yours.

This step is crucial to ensure we fit you with the right exercises.

Step 3 - Physiological screen

Based on the goals you outline with your coach, he/she will send you performance tests to establish your baseline physiological capacity.

This step is crucial to establish what training protocols you need to attack first.

PHASE 2 - TRAIN

After pouring over your athlete profile, your coach will send you a 100% individualized 4-week training cycle with everything laid out for you:  video walk-through, exercise demonstrations, notes on execution, sets, reps, rest time, etc.

This way you can shut your brain off, head to the gym with confidence, and focus 100% of your effort on being an athlete and training.

All you have to do is mash and fill in your program with weights, RPE’s, and notes, and your coach does the rest.

 

PHASE 3 - SUPPORT

At the end of every training week, you will send your coach a short email telling him/her how everything felt that week.

Your coach will then go into your program, see how you did, and make any necessary adjustments to your program that he/she deems necessary.

This constant communication is crucial because it 1) allows you to build a relationship with your coach 2) allows your coach to keep a close eye on your progress and 3) allows your coach to quickly make adjustments or call a hot route if something isn’t working.

At the end of every 12-week training cycle, you will jump on a zoom call with your coach to touch base and make sure you are both still aligned on your long term goals.

James Cerbie

James is the founder and head coach at Rebel Performance. A former division 1 athlete, James prides himself on being well rounded in strength, hypertrophy, power, and endurance, while still feeling good (because pain is dumb).

He made it 2.5 years into a Ph.D. program for Integrative Physiology but walked away because he realized he loves teaching and coaching humans more than writing grants.

He can be found lifting, drinking coffee, roaming in the mountains, reading research, or watching superhero movies.

He specializes in working with STACKED and TACTICAL athletes.

Ryan L'Ecuyer

Ryan has been lifting and researching all aspects relating to training, nutrition, and physical adaptation essentially since conception, but his passion lies primarily in hypertrophy/bodybuilding and strength training.

With over 15 years personally in the trenches and 15,000+ hours of coaching experience, Ryan uses the knowledge gained to continually push the physiological limits of the human organism.

In 2014, Ryan achieved professional status as a life-time, drug-free bodybuilder and competes in powerlifting with a 1,537lb PR total. He also enjoys Ska and can still do a kickflip.

Lance Goyke

Lance has been helping humans perform pain-free for over a decade now.

He received his Master’s of Science in Anatomy & Cell Biology from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2017 and a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from Indiana University in 2012.

He famously got his start as the model for a DVD his bosses, Mike Robertson and Bill Hartman, did with Eric Cressey called Assess & Correct.

He likes learning, thinking, and being happy. As Lance Armstrong (no relation) once put it: “I only have good days and great days.“

Ryan Patrick

Ryan is the Founder and Owner of Peak Fitness & Sports Training in Erlanger, Kentucky, and holds a Master of Science Degree in Health & Exercise Science from Colorado State University.

His current role as an entrepreneurial dad and husband has ignited his desire to help men and women lead themselves in fitness and self-care in order to show up with energy and focus inside of their own families and careers.

Ryan has been a trainer since 2007 and worked with competition S.W.A.T. teams preparing for the World S.W.A.T. Games, youth athletes, collegiate athletes, and corporate athletes.  

As a competitive lifter, Ryan currently holds the state powerlifting record for total (1487 pounds) and the deadlift (655 pounds) in the 198-pound weight class. He was awarded the Best Lifter at the Raw Drug Tested State Championship in 2018 and is a two-time winner of the Tactical Strength Challenge.

He specializes in working with STACKED and TACTICAL athletes.

Keiran Halton

Keiran is a former 2 sport collegiate athlete turned strength coach that prides himself in helping humans upgrade their lives by achieving their sport, fitness, and lifestyle goals.

He has a masters in Exercise Physiology from William Paterson University, and completed internships at Defranco's Training Systems and with the New York Islanders early in his career.

He holds numerous certifications including his CSCS, Exos Performance Specialist, Strongfirst Level 1, and Precision Nutrition Level 1. In addition, he rocks a 500 lbs squat and deadlift, 300 lbs bench, and still dunks like a white Michael Jordan.

Also, he's trying to not peak too early for his upcoming wedding.
