I get it. Single leg exercises are about as sexy as this guy:
With that being said, you still need to do them and you need to do them well.
Unfortunately, most people (including myself for a while) suck big time when it comes to do doing lunges. We are naturally imbalanced, we don’t like doing things we’re not good at, and we live in a world that merely feeds into our asymmetries. This pretty much sums up how I feel when I watch a lot of people try to do anything on one leg:
All kidding aside, just doing lunges or single leg RDL’s for the sake of doing them won’t get you anywhere unless the form is spot on. Many people, however, need to “trick” their bodies into better positioning because traditional methods merely build upon the “faults” already present in the kinetic chain.
